Q: Can many users utilize ViaTour?

A: Yes, Microsoft Access will support as many as 255 simultaneous users (theoretically), although a practical limit of 25-40 concurrent users is more reasonable.  Other factors that can affect this limit include PC and network hardware and configuration, and percentage of users editing vs. reading or reporting on data.

Q: Can I use ViaTour on the Web?

A: Yes; we suggest using remote PC software such as pc Anywhere (Symantec) or a web-based service such as GotToMyPC.com, or Microsoft Terminal Server, depending on your organization and needs.

Q: Can ViaTour be integrated with our on-line   reservation system?

A: Yes, we are happy to review with you the most cost effective way to integrate web-based and other data with ViaTour. 

Q: What language is the software programmed in?

A: ViaTour is a professionally-developed Microsoft Access application and makes extensive use of VBA and SQL. ViaTour works well with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, allowing easy transfer of data in and out of Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.  ViaTour is available in all current versions of Microsoft Access.

Q: Is ViaTour easy to learn?

A: Yes, the user interface was designed by travel professionals for travel professionals and utilizes an intuitive lay out, task driven forms, and shortcuts. We offer on-site, web-based, or phone training as well as detailed tutorials and user's manual. 

Q: I have all my data in another program - do I have to enter it all over again in ViaTour?

A: No, we will review your existing data with you and provide an estimate for importing it into ViaTour. Depending on the condition and format of your existing data, you may be able to perform the import/ conversion yourself.

Q: What if I want additional reports or special formatting, or want to query my data myself?

A: We will review your requirements with you and provide estimates for creating or modifying reports to meet your needs. In addition, we are happy to provide additional training and support so you can make effective and safe use of your data "behind the scenes".  Further, development of a new Ad Hoc Reporting Module is currently underway.

Q: Is ViaTour expensive?

A: Based on functionality and reporting,  ViaTour is the most affordable tour management database systems on the market.
