Dupes and Exporting Address Label Report To Excel
When you run an address label report, ViaTour displays the formatted address on either Avery 5160 size labels or 8 - up.
ViaTour will display only "unique" labels so if a couple is traveling and both have identical data in the formatted address field, only one will be displayed on the report (i.e. data is identical , right down to a space.)
Note that when you "push" data to excel, ViaTour gives a row for every unique Salutation - Primary Addressee - Address.
A couple, again will be deduped with in one tour (if data is entered identically.) However, if your results span many tours you will likely see duplicate rows when you have a couple traveling together ion one tour, but individually on others (because the Salutation - Primary Addressee - Address will not be identical on each departure.) The answer set might have a dupe:
Salutation PriAddressee Address
Mr and Mrs Smith John and Mary Smith 1 Main Street, etc
Mr Smith John Smith 1 Main Street, etc
Option when exporting to excel is to "Do you wish to include tour information?" Clicking yes means you will get a row for every reservations and therefore duplicated rows for a household.
Under Development: soon users can have the option of "use traveler address" for marketing reports on res criteria, which will enable you to by pass the possibility of pulling dupe res addresses while still using reservation criteria.
