Logic of ViaTour
In ViaTour there are the following master entities:
Traveler: a person who has traveled or might travel.
Tour: a departure or proposed departure.
Reservation: the traveler and a tour with a reservation status defining the level of participation. In ViaTour, Reservations can be anything you want to track: a brochure request, a confirmed booking, a cancelled reservation, a waitlisted traveler, or any status that is meaningful to your business.
Vendor: an organization or business with which you have business arrangements for a tour. When you assign a vendor to a tour with a vendor role, you are creating a tour history, much like a travelers with reservations has a reservation history. Vendors can be tour operators, sponsoring organizations, co-sponsors, lecturers, hotels and so on.
