Forms and Tabs

Each main entity (Traveler - Tour - Reservation - Vendor) has a Form in ViaTour.

Data is entered on the "tabs" in white fields. Colored fields display data or calculated data.

You access these forms from the main menu - either through SwitchBoard or Quick Access.

When you see a field that looks like this- it is a drop-down list.

You can either 
  • mouse click on the arrow to "open"" the list and then use your mouse to make a selection
  • begin typing the value and it will be "pulled" from the list
  • click the F4 key (at top of keyboard) to open the list and use arrow keys and enter to make selection

    Some lists allow you to add new values on the fly - other lists require you to access the code table (this helps maintain clean and consistent data.)

    The best way to familiarize yourself is to work through each main form, enter one or two records  then testing yourself to see if you can find them again.
