Traveler Personal Info Tab, Field Definitions
1. Business: Use this field if to associate the traveler with a business.
2. Preferred name: Used on Name Badges (Preferred name + last name)
Note: only if the preferred name is different from the first name, does it appear on reports. In other words, if it is the same, populating the field is a waste of effort. For Name Badge you will see First + Last, if Preferred name is null; if Preferred name is different you will see Preferred name+ Last Name.
3. Marital Status: this is not linked to the Relationships tab. If you have listed a spouse on the relationships tab, here you will need to enter "married".
4. Anniversary: store wedding anniversary date here. Note you can create a reminder by right clicking in field.
5. Gender: populate this field with male, female or unknown. Why? In the format address function ViaTour looks at gender to know how to create address labels and salutations.
6. External ID: use this field to associate the traveler with an ID stored from another database.
7. Interests: store traveler interest and preferences. New Codes can be added in System Maintenance in the Descriptor table.
8. Traveler Biography: user may store data for sharing with participants on other tours.
9. Deceased: if a traveler is deceased, mark this as true, and ViaTour automatically does not create address label for this record. However, if this individual shares an address with anyone else, users should go through steps for Deceased Traveler Address management.
10. Red Flag: warning that appears on Overview Form. For certain reports (address labels) you can opt to "exclude" red flag travelers.
